Indian Hand carved grinder table/ Chakki
Vintage from the 60's Indian Hand carved grinder table repurposed as an ottoman /Low table
Once a staple in most Punjab homes the chakki was used to grind grains into flower used to make Indian flat bread such as chappatis, naans, rotis and parohtas. The term Chakki is for the set of small millstones that were usually held in round wooden bases. Wooden bases that we have repurposed into tables and ottomans but still refer to as chakkis.
Wood Base: 28" x 328" x 9.5"H
(Most chakki's will be from 26" to 32)

Note: Our wooden items are not new or made to look old. They may have small marks and scratches on them, which are consistent with their age and original use. We feel these add to their character and appeal. Please look at the photos to get an idea of their condition.
